Integrable Networks and Security
With growing complexity of sensor networks, suitable concepts for intergrating sensor networks into other systems gain importance. The long-term challenge is to devise new methods for operation and management which take into account the different resources and capabilities of sensor nodes and sensor networks as well as back-end systems and IT backbone networks.
Security, scalability, real-time behaviour, and compatible interconnection to existing systems (vertical integration) are the key issues for future systems and play a key role in the development of sensor systems and their applications. Seamless integration of simple sensor networks and high-performance backbones is the goal.
